KDesk Accounting builds practical, audit-ready Excel templates for controllers and finance managers at SaaS startups. Our focus is technical accounting workflows — ASC 606 commission capitalization, ASC 842 lease accounting — that are too complex to manage manually but don’t justify a six-figure software contract.
Our templates are built by a CPA with hands-on experience in sales compensation, revenue recognition, lease administration, and subledger accounting at high-growth SaaS companies. The target customer is a controller or finance manager at a Series A–C company ($3M–$50M revenue) managing technical accounting in Excel.
Our Philosophy
No macros. No subscriptions. No six-figure contracts.
Most accounting compliance solutions cost $20k–$100k+ per year. For finance teams with reasonable deal volumes, that’s overkill. You need something between “manual spreadsheet chaos” and “enterprise software you can’t afford yet.”
